For many years the founding Pastor of Lenexa Baptist Church, Steve Dighton, had prayerfully looked towards the Northland to see an ever-increasing population in need of a Bible-preaching and Gospel-driven church. As he would cast the vision to Lenexa Baptist, many faithful men and women faithfully turned their eyes to the north. On May 19, 2013, 42 people gathered with Pastor Wesley Vance in Room 227 at Lenexa Baptist to dream about launching our church. It was on that day that the seed of a movement of God began to grow.
Recognizing the movement of God in the community, The Fellowship Kansas City launched its’ first service on August 18, 2013 on the campus of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. For 3 years, The Fellowship Kansas City laid a solid biblical and evangelistic foundation for ministry at the seminary.
